Webinar Funnel: Registration, Attendance, Offer & Follow-Up
Build a webinar funnel by separating registration, attendance, engagement, offer and follow-up metrics instead of treating signups as success.
The webinar is a teaching event
A strong webinar moves an audience from current understanding to a more useful decision framework. The offer should be a logical continuation rather than an abrupt switch.
Registration is only the first conversion
Track registration-to-attendance, attendance duration, offer exposure and downstream action. High signup numbers can hide weak attendance.
Use reminders responsibly
Calendar confirmation and timely reminders reduce accidental no-shows. Excessive messaging can damage trust before the event starts.
Design the offer transition
Explain who the paid solution is for, what it includes and what outcome it is intended to support. Avoid invented scarcity or guarantees.
Follow up by behavior where possible
Attendees, no-shows and people who clicked the offer may need different follow-up. Segmentation is useful when it reflects actual behavior rather than arbitrary complexity.
